Customer Service Advisor - Renewables
Leeds Office | Full Time
Technical mindset? Great with people? We want to hear from you!
We’re looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our technical support team. When our engineers are out at a customer’s home installing Solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers or heat pumps, things don’t always go to plan. That’s where you come in.
You’ll be the person engineers and customers turn to when there’s a technical issue on site. You’ll help understand what’s gone wrong, work through the options and make sure the right support is provided to get the job moving again.
This is an office-based role, so it’s a great opportunity for someone who has a technical mindset and enjoys problem-solving, but wants to work in a fast-paced office environment rather than being on site themselves.
What you’ll be doing
Take calls and requests from engineers and customers when installation issues arise
Understand technical problems and help identify practical solutions
Support engineers remotely while they’re working at customer properties
Provide clear and reassuring advice to customers when things don’t go to plan
Coordinate engineers, technicians and other teams to resolve issues
Assess the urgency of issues and prioritise emergency or safety-related callouts
Provide basic troubleshooting support where appropriate
Keep job information, call logs and updates accurate in our systems
Follow up on outstanding issues to make sure they’re properly resolved
Identify recurring technical issues and share feedback with the wider team
Help improve processes and the customer and engineer experience
What we’re looking for
You don’t necessarily need to be a renewable energy expert. A technical mindset and the ability to understand and solve problems are what really matter. We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in a technical, engineering, customer support or similar environment
Is naturally curious and enjoys figuring out how things work
Can understand a technical problem and explain it clearly to someone else
Has strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Communicates confidently with both customers and engineers
Can stay calm and organised when dealing with multiple issues at once
Has strong attention to detail and is comfortable using computer systems
Has an interest in renewable technologies such as Solar PV, batteries, EV or heat pumps
